Lauren Harris

Lauren is a dedicated mental health professional with a diverse educational background and a passion for helping others. She graduated from the University of Lynchburg in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Music Vocal Performance and Psychology. During her undergraduate studies, she volunteered with the YWCA's Sexual Assault Response Program, gaining valuable experience in supporting survivors of sexual assault. Following her undergraduate studies, she
earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2023. During her graduate work, she completed a practicum and internship where she conducted individual and group therapies and worked as a member of the Hospital Discharge Planning and Transition team. Lauren is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCAS-A), and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA). Most recently, Lauren worked as an Adolescent Substance Use and Behavioral Health Clinician, facilitating group and individual therapy at a small outpatient facility in Conover, NC. She also served as the Qualified Substance Abuse Professional (QSAP) for Catawba County.
Lauren is skilled in providing both group and individual therapy that is educational, evidence-based, and ultimately fun and interactive. Hailing from Greensboro, NC, she has spent the last four years living in Western, NC, and is excited to relocate closer to home. Her rich history of working with youth both in and outside of counseling settings underscores her deep-rooted desire to make a positive impact on their lives. Outside of her professional endeavors, Lauren
enjoys video gaming, singing, trying local restaurants, drinking coffee, and spending time with her family.
