Erica Andrews
Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate
While we are all navigating this chaotic journey called life, we all have challenges we encounter. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a brave space to process our challenges and give us “tools” to help equip us for future wellness? Welcome to Asheboro Counseling and Wellness, your brave space, and I look forward to working together to aid and enhance your mental health!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate with a specialty in mental health. I have been trained to aid individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures to acquire a healthy way to deal with life’s challenges, while also finding out what wellness means to them.
I have worked in elementary, middle, and high schools, government, and college settings. I have worked with and am comfortable working with: individuals on the Autism spectrum, individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, life transitions, trauma, self-harm, adjustment, and self-esteem issues.
I work from an integrated and strengths-based approach while pulling from different theories and modalities that will best serve the client. Some of the techniques I practice are Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Play therapy for children, as well as Narrative approaches. I offer faith-based counseling for those wishing to incorporate their Christian beliefs into the counseling process.
Just as you would go to a primary or specialist doctor for a physical ailment, your mental health is just as important to protect and maintain. I look forward to our therapeutic relationship where I get to know you, walk alongside you, and equip you with “tools in your toolbox” for future wellness.
